Camden, Maine
This lakeside cottage renovation allowed us to explore the contrast between building techniques and aesthetics from the late 1800’s and today. Contemporary elements were lightly inserted throughout, with a respect for the past as an important guiding principal. The second story was removed and a delicate steel frame quietly braces a single versatile space used for lounging, dining and sleeping.
