The design concept for this studio was borne out of the desire to reconcile a complex program, requiring tough spaces to work on a variety of arts media, and refined spaces to entertain and display a significant collection. This juxtaposition was used to set up spatial and material tension throughout the studio, everywhere influenced by the play of abundant natural light.
